BALMUDA The Speaker - The Concert Flame
BALMUDA · $$$
Put it on the table and the room rearranges itself. BALMUDA The Speaker is small enough to live beside the cheese board, and it is built for the hour when the talk winds down and someone says, play something. Inside sits a single 3.0 inch full range driver in a closed enclosure, an honest 8 watts that favors the voice, so a singer stays out front of the band. The trick is the light. Three glass cylinders rise from the body, and the LEDs behind them react to the music within 0.004 seconds, a candle flicker for a slow evening, a full pulse for a crowded one. It runs about seven hours on the lithium battery, charges by USB-C, and takes Bluetooth or a plain AUX cable. At 2.2 pounds you carry it out to the garden when the table moves. The sound hosts. The light sets the mood.
Why it is god-tier
- Single 3.0 inch full range driver in a closed-type enclosure with 8 W effective maximum output, tuned so vocal-oriented music keeps its crisp, three-dimensional image.
- Light locked to the music: LEDs behind three glass cylinders sync at 0.004 seconds, with Candle Mode for a slow glow, Ambient Mode for gentle flicker, and Beat Mode for full pulse.
- Portable by design: about 7 hours of continuous play on the built-in lithium-ion battery, a 2.5 hour recharge by USB-C, Bluetooth and AUX inputs, and a 4.1 x 7.4 inch body at roughly 2.2 lb.
