Passive speakers have a long life when the amplifier does not ask for attention. Sonos Amp sends 125 watts per channel at 8 ohms to a stereo or dual-mono pair, with HDMI ARC for a television and RCA line-in for a turntable or other source. Wi-Fi and Apple AirPlay 2 bring network playback, while dual 10/100 Ethernet ports give a wired path when the rack calls for one. The 2.52-inch-tall, rack-mountable chassis fits a shelf or cabinet and uses a heatsink for airflow. Sonos lists the Amp at $799, and the tagged Amazon listing rendered a new Amazon.com offer at $799 with Add to cart and In Stock during this run. Prices and stock can change.
