A door should know its people. This lock keeps the threshold without a pile of metal in the pocket. Entry is a credential, not a ritual of searching. From elsewhere, you see whether the house is sealed. From the stoop, it is still a lock: tactile, certain, unwilling to be clever at the expense of strength. The vault is not a fortress aesthetic. It is the feeling that the perimeter holds.
